This session included a panel discussion with two state officials and a health services researcher about approaches to improve access to dental care in states that cover adult dental benefits. State panelists described their approaches for providing dental coverage to certain high-need populations. Commissioners learned about current research on the use of dental services and the effects of certain efforts to improve access to care, such as increasing payment rates.
