Between July and September 2014, MACPAC conducted semi-structured interviews with officials in eight states on the two-year primary care payment increase established by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The MACPAC staff presentation summarizes the findings of those interviews, and discusses the policy questions the interviews raised, including how to measure outcomes related to the primary care payment increase and whether the provision warrants an extension.
