Chapter 3 of the June 2014 report takes a population-based approach by examining strategies to improve the overall health of Medicaid enrollees. Among the approaches highlighted are Medicaid programs’ efforts to improve patient outcomes, including partnering with private sector companies and public agencies at all levels of government to improve enrollees’ health.
