This fact sheet updates projections for when states will exhaust available CHIP funding to reflect the recent changes to the CHIP statute and the state FY 2018 spending estimates submitted to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in November 2018, the most recent estimates available. Our projections may differ from other estimates because of differences in the timing and limitations of state spending estimate data used and the inherent complexity in projecting redistribution funds available to states.
