Comment on Secretary’s Report to Congress on Reducing Barriers to Substance Use Disorder Services Using Telehealth for Pediatric Populations under Medicaid

The Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently issued a report to Congress on Reducing Barriers to Furnishing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services Using Telehealth and Remote Patient Monitoring for Pediatric Populations under Medicaid. Section 1009(d) of the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT) for Patients and Communities Act (P.L. 115-271) mandated this report. MACPAC may submit a letter to the Secretary commenting on this report. This presentation highlights key findings from the report and identifies possible areas for MACPAC comments.
