This presentation reviews options for the future of children’s coverage as policymakers once again face the expiration of State Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funding, and outlines a series of decision points that could be used to develop a package extending CHIP and improving children’s coverage. MACPAC intends to have a package of recommendations on the future of children’s coverage completed by the time a new Congress convenes in 2017.
