In this presentation, Dr. Katy Kozhimannil, director of the Rural Health Research Center and an associate professor at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, shares work done under contract to MACPAC to examine the risk of severe maternal morbidity and mortality among Medicaid beneficiaries. Her analysis describes differences in maternal morbidity by payer as well as predictors of maternal morbidity among Medicaid beneficiaries by race and ethnicity and by rural and urban residence.
