In this presentation, staff summarized key provisions of a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) interim final rule with comment that was published in the Federal Register on November 2, 2020. The interim rule with comment took effect November 2, and comments are due January 4, 2021.
These provisions reinterpret the Medicaid continuous coverage requirement of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (P.L 116-172), and codify COVID-19 vaccine coverage policy. Staff also identified potential areas that the Commission could consider commenting on.
