The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) required the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to increase transparency and public input on Section 1115 demonstration waivers. This slide set provides background on the ACA’s Section 1115 demonstration transparency requirements; reviews HHS’s recent report to Congress on its implementation of these requirements; and discusses potential areas for Commission comments on the report.
