At the September 2017 Commission meeting, staff presented a range of potential policy options that could help states manage growth in Medicaid spending on prescription drugs. As a follow up, the Commission heard from three expert panelists who were invited to discuss how states currently manage their prescription drug benefit, what options they are considering for the future, and the parameters of federal policy:
