This presentation summarizes MACPAC’s work to identify gaps in state coverage of the substance use disorder (SUD) continuum of care using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria. Following up on discussion from the October 2017 and January 2018 meetings, this slide deck provides a more detailed analysis of the gaps in SUD care at the state level, including residential SUD services. In addition it incorporates:
- information on access and availability of SUD treatment;
- pathways to pay for IMD services; and
- early lessons from states offering the full SUD continuum of care.
