In January 2014, MACPAC chair Diane Rowland testified on MACPAC’s behalf before the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee. The hearing sought views from key experts regarding expiring health-related provisions typically considered alongside the annual Medicare physician payment formula update. MACPAC’s testimony centered on Medicaid legislative provisions set to expire during 2014. Although the Commission did not have formal recommendations on all of the provisions, Dr. Rowland offered insights from the Commission’s ongoing work.
