Update on Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS)

At the October 2019 meeting, MACPAC presented an overview of the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) and provided preliminary analyses of our work to assess the accuracy of Medicaid enrollment and spending using fiscal year (FY) 2016 data. Since then, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has continued to work with states to improve the quality of their data and released T-MSIS Analytic Files for calendar years (CY) 2017 and 2018 and preliminary data for CY 2019.
